Artcast
Artcast was a collaborative artwork developed through the New City Programme in Sunderland and Bristol.
New City Programme was a collaborative exchange with Kangaroo Court artists in Bristol, it involved a 6 Month programme of residencies in non art spaces shared between the two cities along with a programme of exhibitions, live performances and events.
Artcast was a ‘Projector Obscurer’ live web stream, back projected onto the bottom hatch of a three story former sewing factory re-named as the New City Space. The imagery revealed artists working in hidden unreachable parts of the derelict building and a shop space in Bristol.
Supported by Esmee Fairbairn Foundation, Alias and Sunderland City Council.
